What happens if there is inclement weather on the day of my charter?
Your safety is our top priority. Here are our policies:
– If your scheduled charter lands on a day with weather reports of a small craft advisory due to inclement weather, our Captain will make the decision two hours prior to departure from port. If the Captain decides not to charter that day, due to rain or if a small craft advisory is in effect, you will have an option for a rain date for the remainder of the current season and through the end of the next season. This provides you with two summer seasons to reschedule. We will apply your payment and you will receive that credit to charter on a future date of your choice.
– If, while the charter is underway, the Captain decides to return to port early for your safety, due to inclement weather, we can issue a pro-rated future charter time credit based on the returned time and sea conditions. To be clear, if you decide to return to port early and we agree the conditions are undesirable or unsafe, we can give you that lost time on a future charter. No cash credits will be issued once we depart from port, but we can substitute future time on a future charter.
– If we charter on a mediocre weather day, but the sea conditions were charterable throughout the duration of your trip and we finish a cruise for the agreed allotted time, neither discounts nor credits will be provided as the fuel, Captain’s time and allotted time slot have all been fully expensed as a cost to us.
